Keyboard Shortcut for Changing Databases/Database Selection in SSMS for both AZURE vs On Premise/Local Server

Keyboard Shortcuts for both AZURE and Local Server:

In SQL Server, To Alter the Database from the Available Databases on which to run/execute the query in SQL Server Management Studio,
we can use the keyboard shortcut ‘CTRL + U
or we can also use the keyboard shortcut ‘CTRL + ALT + J‘ from the query window
to switch to the database selection drop down box.
Make the database selection using UP and DOWN arrows on the keyboard and click Enter to switch back to the query window to run/execute the SQL query.

Database’s Switches in AZURE:

The only difference in Azure is we cannot able to switch Database A to Database B directly.
Instead of that, we need to switch to master first and then we can switch to other Databases by using the same above mentioned keyboard shortcuts.

Conclusion

Ctrl+U‘ directly takes you to the list of databases on the server and allows us to easily switch between them and ‘Ctrl+Alt+J‘ does the same as well.
